Role & Responsibilities
- Lead commissioning strategy and delivery for adult social care services.
- Manage contract design, procurement, and performance monitoring.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
- Provide expert advice to senior leadership.
- Support continuous improvement and transformation activity.
About You / Experience
- Proven experience in a Head of Commissioning or equivalent senior commissioning role.
- Extensive experience and knowledge in adult social care commissioning.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and decision-making skills.
- Experience in partnership working across health, social care, and providers.
Skills & Requirements
Essential:
- Senior commissioning experience with strategic planning and contract oversight.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Desirable:
- Experience implementing a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS).
- Local government or public sector experience.
